Additional Images in Internet Explorer 7
« on: June 09, 2008, 03:17:46 am »
I've been working on a site in FireFox and also viewing it in Opera and all seemed to do fine for the display of additional images.

When viewing in IE though I noticed a problem.

Because the code for the images is one right after another they display in a straight line, so they go right off the screen.

Adding a space in between each link fixed the problem.

To fix this I modified line 121 of the default theme.php file to the following;

$html .= vmCommonHTML::getLightboxImageLink( $image->file_url, $thumbtag, $title ? $title : $image->file_title, 'product'.$product_id ) . ' ';

I added the  . ' '  on to the end of the line.

(there's a space in between those, I think it's being filtered when posting though)

This also fixed the issue I had with images being crowded together.

Figured I'd mention it in the event anyone else has similar problem.

Maybe not the best way to fix it, but it works.. :)

hello,

in Virtuemart 1.1.0, it's the following in your theme.php file:

Line 117 - change this line:
$thumbtag = ps_product::image_tag( $image->file_name, 'class="browseProductImage"', 1, 'product', $image->file_image_thumb_height, $image->file_image_thumb_width );

to:

$thumbtag = ps_product::image_tag( $image->file_name, 'class="browseProductImage"', 1, 'product', $image->file_image_thumb_height, $image->file_image_thumb_width ) .' ';

the only change is the .' ' as mentioned previously (again, the space may be stripped between the ' ').

thanks
ewok
