Hi,

I have a clean installation of Virtuemart (1.1.4, joomla 1.5.14).

I can load items into the cart but there isnt any checkout button or link to checkout.

I have enabled the checkout bar (configuration, checkout) and enabled the cart in modules.

Shipping module is enabled, set to standard and rates are configured. SEO on or of doesnt seem to make any difference.

Its probably a minor thing Im overlooking but Ive spent the whole day trying to figure it out and going through the forum.

Any help much appreciated.

I'm having the same exact problem! It's making me feel quite dumb to be honest. What could possibly be the cause of this? I've searched and searched but haven't found anything addressing this besides this post

Think I found it. Look in the modules folder of the VM package extracted. there are more packages in there. install them

I've installed the mods i require- categories and cart but no cigar.

Like you say, it must be a really simple oversight though you'd expect that if the cart is present so would the checkout button.

I installed the cart module and put it on the sidebar, so there is always a "view cart" link which leads to checkout

I have the Cart Mod installed, checked the permissions....still no go.

Install mod_virtuemart or cart module, make sure it is enabled and visible on your site, add something to cart and then you see the link to your cart in the module. It's called View cart.

The cart is ok. I am able to load items in the cart. However, when i view the the cart, the checkout button/link is missing. All it shows is items in the cart. nothing underneath.

Ive set standard shipping and pay on delivery but still no checkout button.

like scar says enable the mod- in joomla modules and assign a position for the cart. Cart will then be visible

Hmmm...

Well finally figured this one. If you enable a minimum order value, it overwrites the checkout button. if you disable it, the checkout button is visible.

Its not ideal but hopefully can find a way of including the minimum order statement.
