Ok... here's my situation.

I have Joomla set up with the user log-in or user registration directly from the begining. So no one can see anything unless it logs-in to the site.
As I need certain fields that the native Joomla doesn't have and the VM does, I use the VM log-in in the initial page.
Locally, using Apache, with every parameter set, all e-mail functionality works properly.
Remotely, using Windows 2000 with IIS, only Joomla e-mail work.
When I want to register a new user, not locally but remotely, after a few seconds, I get an internal server error, and no e-mail is sent either.

When I told you about blank page was when I tried to change the code manually.

Hope you can help me.

OK. What happens when you replace the file with the one that I attached ?

I transferred the zip file you gave me via vnc, uncompressed it to the desktop and then pasted it to the directory that corresponds.

I'd like to know if this file solves this problem. Does it?

OK... I have this problem and its been a while now, I have even updated to the latest vesion but to no avail.
When trying to use the recommend to a friend link, the recipient does not recieve any email and the sender receives the 553 message. HOWEVER, if the same link is used from joomla article, everything works fine.
Also, the notify customer link works fine too. The only prblem is when someone uses the recommend button.
Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated.
Btw, I use godaddy hosting...
