Does anyone know how to set this up. I am redirected to, see 1st.jpg attached
and I would like to be sent directly to 2nd.jpg attached.
This is paypal standard

Thanks in advance.

OK, I understand how it works now, PayPal uses a cookie to check if you have an account with them. If you have an account you get 1st.jpg page if you do not you get 2nd.jpg page.

Is there a way to send the command to continue to the credit card page?

Hi,

I am also looking for the same Option,

Have you found anything? please let me know

dgm001

I am thinking that if the continue page is open in a wrapper then the continue can be activated to send the customer directly to the 2nd page.
I do not know enough yet to solve this. But if I figure it out I will let everyone know.

Any action on this yet?  I need a module for Paypal standard or Paypal express...

Another on the wish list.  I don't think it will be possible.  PayPal advertising themselves and most likely want you to go to Paypal Payments Pro so this "hard to find credit card link" for credit cards disappears.  Pro has a monthly fee of course. *sighs*

Hey gang. Been a long time since I've posted on VM. Anyway, I'm running into this same problem here. Is it really related to the paypal cookie?

I tried putting through an order after clearing my cookies and I still was taken to page 1 (without the ability to enter credit card immediately) instead of page 2 (credit card info and paypal login). I want to take them to page 2 directly.

Seems like there are websites out there that are able to do this, and I don't think they're the paypal "pro" version. Maybe I'm wrong...

Hi,

I think you can change a setting in your PayPal business account:
PayPal Acount > Profile > Selling Preferences > Website Payment Preferences > PayPal Account Optional = ON
you will have the credit card input fields
On OFF, you will have the PayPAl account and the option to go to the credit card page.

Hope it helps.

I have PayPal account optional turned on (it default to "on" on my account), but it still goes to the first jpg page.  I have the PayPal Premier account.

Would be great if there was a way to divert to the second paypal credit card page as i am finding that allot of customers are missing the small text on the left for credit cards and making the assumption that you have to have a paypal account to use the store. If anyone finds an answer to this it would be very useful and also happy to pay for a solution as this effects allot of my customers stores.

Hi volksman3 and all,

Well thanks for the offer ;) If your are still in trouble, I will be delighted to help you now, or in the future (see my profile).

Honestly it is not a big problem with the details you mentioned. As we are part of the Free Software community, sharing matters! And "selling" this kind of advice is not part of my ethic.

You should make your tests on a "clean" browser, different that the one you use for your day to day work (you can even have a fresh install of a system with Virtualbox.org, so you browse like the vast majority of the people, no tweaks and geeks' stuff on it!)

OR, at least, you should delete your cache AND the PayPal cookies (you probably log on to your business account right?), and then make your test.

If you do not have a result like the attached picture, then you should provide more details, and an URL where it happened so I will have a look.

All the Best,
Hervé

I am sure it has to do with the paypal configuration. Once, I was trying a fix for paypal and tax and found some changes made to the paypal configuration. It didnt work for me, but it did take me to the second paypal "window" where the customer was given the option of credit card or paypal login.
It was long ago and I do not know where I got the paypal config fix from.
I am sure it has to do with the URL in the paypal config.

Hi!

"PayPal Account Optional = ON" is an default option in my business paypal account!
-> so, what additional things have you done, to make it go to credit page directly?

Thanks for any kind of help!

Hi,

There is no additional things done on my side. I have test it again on a clean browser, I still have the credit card PayPal page. Have you tested with a "clean" browser?

I have another settings I used before to use with Moodle. But in our case, it should not change anything:
Paypal My Account > Profile > Selling Preferences > Language encoding > More Options set to UTF-8 both cases.
