Login error message not showing, need fix

Hi,
we've been using Virtuemart for over a year and it has been great. We just have an issue which we hadn't notice, and that is that after a user inserts its password and if it is wrong, the page just refreshes and shows no error message, or wrong password message or anything.

Can you tell me in which php is this managed? I edited the module_virtuemart just to add a div class to change the styles of the form.

Any help will be greatly appreaciated.

can you check your template and see if it has

<jdoc:include type="message" />

its usually above

<jdoc:include type="component" />

the field that outputs error mesages and info notifications must be present in template.
amg99 just named it
<jdoc:include type="message" />
it's a Joomla system field used specifically for that and MUST be present in template.
