wrong Order Notification email characters
« on: March 19, 2009, 15:29:36 pm »

I have installed joomla 1.5.9 and VM 1.1.2 using the bundle "VirtueMart eCommerce Bundle (w. Joomla! 1.5.9)". I have succesfuly added my language packs (greek), so everything now is in greek.
But when a user orders something, the notification emails have invalid characters instead of greek (utf-8).
Some notices:
- The characters are not ISO-8859-1 , -7 or anything else. Just "boxes".
- The admin and the user can see the orders online correctly (!), with greek characters.
- The rest of the emails are sent without problems, in greek.
- The database has correct characters.
- I have manually added some greek phrases (instead of $VM_LANG translated) and the problem remains. Only english characters can be read.
- The encoding of the files (ex. greek.php, confirmation_email.tpl.php, ps_checkout.php) is correct, UTF-8.
- I even manually added greek characters on $subject or $fromname in vmMail function, in ps_main.php, but nothing. All greek characters (even in Email Name, Subject, body) in both emails ($shopper_message AND $vendor_message) are invalid.

Any idea?

Thank you!

One quick addition...
I have also upgraded to VM 1.1.3 but the problem remains.
Even if I write greek phrases on confirmation_email.tpl.php, the emails keep coming with invalid characters ("boxes").
