Other Layout in the fronted and last buyed products
« on: January 19, 2009, 19:57:46 PM »
Hello folks!

First, I want to excuse me for my bad english, you will probably notice this. Then, my questions are:

1. Is there a way to chenge the layout of thefronted if the module Virtumart is working? So that there is an other design if the surfer is on a quite common site?

2. Is it possible to show the last buyed products in the template?

Would be very grateful for your help =)
Sincerely, .wired

You can change the template used by joomla based on the current menu selected.
See the Extensions -> Template Manager.

For last purchased products you would need to write some custom code to look at the current users order history. This would not be a trivial task.

OK, thank you very much! I got it now =) But I have another question: If it's not possible to show the last purchased products, how can I show the products in an other way (for example latest products, or most wanted products, or maybe random products) and how do I style them? Or is this not possible, too?

Sincerely, .wired

Perhaps you should look at the modules that came with your virtuemart install
They include by default, amongst other thigns
"VirtueMart Top Ten Products"
"VirtueMart Latest Products"

You can also provide a list of random products using the featured products module. By adding more products to the featured product list than the module is configured to display you will randomly select some to show.

They can all be edited through the appropriate module code.
