Hi,

I'm looking articles on the application of discounts VirtueMart.

Specifically looking for implementing the typical offer of 3x2 (which we see in supermarkets), but this is applied in different 3x2 products in the same, ie: for example if I have the class "officers", I want to implement all articles of this category offering 3x2, so any buying 3 items in this category give away the lowest price ...

In the same article and I have worked a little more, not really offer 3x2 literally, but what I do is ke from the 3rd unit cheaper each unit is worth.

That was done, but asked whether there was any way to implement the 3x2 that I am raising.

Hello. Sorry if I have not managed to explain, I do not speak English very well.

3x2 means that I buy 3 products and they give me free the product with lowest price. Example: I bought:
- Table 50$
- Chair 30$
- Lamp 15$
Total = 95$
But the offer 3x2 would be = 95$ - 15$ = 80$ (the lamp is the article cheaper and thus give it to me free).

Spain offers 3x2 do you purchase 3 items and they give you the article cheapest.

I want to do this in my articles Virtuemart. But the articles do not have the same price, and can be the same item or different items in the same category. Example:
- Home
   - Dining room
     * Mesa = 50$
     * Chair = 30$
     * Lamp = 15$
   - Kitchen
   - Bathroom

I bought 3 chair: 30 + 30 + 30 = 90$
With the offer 3x2 = 90 - 30 = 60$ (30+30+30-30)

Another example:
I bought 1 table, 1 chair and 1 lamp: 50 + 30 + 15 = $ 95
3x2 with the offer: 95 - $ 15 = 80. (50+30+15-15)

Do you understand me now? I hope I have explained.

I would need to apply this offer in Joomla and VirtueMart, but I don't find a module to allow this.

There is, as far as I know, not any module or hack that allows this for VM.

I am working on this for VM 1.2, an advanced discount system. But not for the current VM 1.1.x

That's great, because I'm interested in applying different discounts for VM.
I want to implement the offer 3x2 that I explained earlier, this is very important in my country because it is used extensively in all the shops (shops, supermarkets ...)
And I also want to apply another discount rate is to add a gift (which select the administrator or client) from a total ordering concrete, example:
That from 100 € to buy, add to cart a gift automatically (an item you have chosen the administrator, or to choose between 2 or 3 items to the customer)

We had a special discounts module written for V.M 1.1.2 that does do 3 for 2, buy this get something else for free etc.

It is not a polished module, no instructions  and it only works with the default V.M template at the moment.

If interested let me know and I'll send it to you.

P.S: when I've got some time will write instructions for it and put it somewhere for anybody who wants it.

From what I remember off hand it does:

Buy three and and get the third cheapest for free (multiples of three) to all shoppers or specified shopper or only on certain products
Buy three and get the third cheapest for £1 (€1, $1 whatever your currency and again multiples of three) to all shoppers or specified shopper or only on certain products
Spend so much and get a specific item for free.
Spend so much and get a free/s item from specified list for free.
Volume discount.
Free postage depending on total value of order.
A percentage/value off your order to every shopper.
A percentage/value off your order to specified shopper (coupon)
