Try to put this on your .htaccess:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mysite.com [NC]
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.mysite.com/$1 [L,R=301]

Absolutely none of these so called solutions work. I have tried EVERYTHING.

Anything else is appreciated.

Thanks.

I am having the same issue. Tried everything posted here (and elsewhere). None of these solutions are working.
Joomla 1.5.9 and virtuemart 1.1.3 using the mod_virtuemart module for login (not the mod_virtuemart_login)

Please help.

Hi we also had this problem and found it to the fact that there was a re-direct on the Windows server (that wasn't related to HTAccess)whereby anyone going to http://domain.com was being re-directed to http://www.domain.com. Our virtuemart config had http://domain.com and that was causing it to die. We updated the config in virtuemart to use the www and all was well. We also removed the live site declaration from the core joomla configuration becasue that has caused similar problems for us in the past.

I had the same problem when a new customer made the registration. He was redirect in a white page with "invalide token".

My problem borned by this reason: in the settings of Configuration->Security the url was setted without "www."! So during the registration there was a redirect from http://www.site.com to http://site.com and this caused the problem!

I hope this will be hopeful for the more part of collegues with this problem!

What I don't understand is that all these solutions don't work.  I've tried each one of them i'm sure.  Now what it does do is list users as logged in multiple times.  What give?

I have the same problem. Joomla 1.5.9 and VM 1.1.2
Get "Invalid token" when using mod_virtuemart but no problem when using mod_login.
Cookies enabled and cleared, firefox 3 and ie7 both with standard settings on fresh installed computer.

I had the same problem and here is how I fixed it (it is a problem with Virtuemart Token - it is using the old Token code via JUtility)

You need to edit the file  mod_virtuemart_login.php  in the directory  /modules/mod_virtuemart_login

On line 54 remove the code  $validate = JUtility::getToken();  and replace it with  $validate = JHTML::_( 'form.token' );

Then on line 196 remove the code  <input type="hidden" name="<?php echo $validate; ?>" value="1" />  and replace it with  <?php echo $validate; ?>

With those two changes my Virtuemart login and account code now works. Hope it can help someone else.

Sorry, this tweak does absolutely nothing for me. The problem still persists. I am going to watch this thread like a hawk as this seems to be a fundamental glitch with Virtue'.

This is curious. I just had this, or something similar myself.

I saw the fix from Wayne, and was just about to try it, but then I thought about the cause. It had worked, so I thought about what had changed. I'd installed a few components but was sure it wasn't that.

Then I remembered I'd change the domain name a week ago and possibility hadn't tried logging or accessing the config (which also caused a 404 error so I assumed the two issues were linked).

I then edited virtuemart.cfg.php, adding 'www' to the URL and SECUREURL. Saved the file, went in to VM -> config, all look ok, saved it, and that was it. Problem solved.

So I'm not sure if the code changes provided by Wayne are necessary or not. It probably does warrant more testing though which I hope to do soon.

Sorry I never got back to you on the files you sent me aravot. They don't seem to do any difference on my testing site, but like I said before it's hard when you don't know how to reproduce the error. I don't use my testing site as frequent as the live ones. It happens more rarely now and I don't see it as an serious issue, although worth lookig into. I do use the RewriteEngine forcing it to a non www URL since launch so I don't think that is the issue. I've actually gotten it on backend login as well so it might be a pure Joomla or server error.
