Yes, you'll need it. Https means secure. Without it, you won't get the lock icon and the connection won't be encrypted. To get Https, you'll either need to purchase SSL or use shared SSL if available from your host.

I'd recommend the paid version as I've heard of people having problems with shared. Also, it's a bit less professional IMO as the URL changes to your host url.

Thanks for your reply.

But I still have a confusion. Normaly, we just need a secured connection in paiement phase. I want to use SIPS. And I think it use a secured connection with the bank server. So why I will need ssl in other pages? Most of them are just for consulting products.

Thank to give your opinion uppon this.

It is normal now to use SSL during registration on a site. This is not essential, however, and if your customers accept this then OK. They will go SSL at the payment gateway stage.

I've never heard of SIPS but if it's like paypal, then your site isn't actually hosting the checkout page and you don't need ssl unless you like to encrypt signups and logins like jenkinhill says.

With Paypal, they leave your site on the actual checkout page an you'll see https. But if you are hosting your own payment page (like authorize.net), and don't see https on the page that asks for credit card details, your customers are sending their information unencrypted which is a big risk.
