STORE DESCRIPTION NOW TRANSLATABLE WITH JOOMFISH
« on: December 05, 2008, 16:39:21 pm »
I like several others have the problem that the store description screen will not translate in Joomfish.

This is quite a pain to have the front of the store not translating.
As many know the translated text does save in the backend of Joomfish but it does not appear on the webpage.

I thought a solution might be to create a custom module which I could translate and then replace the text in the store description with the module.
I thought I might be able to put in on the page using the {loadposition moduleposition} function.

No such luck - it will not appear on the webpage in any form. So much for lateral thinking.

Is there a fundamental reason why loadposition does not work here as it could be a temporary solution to the failure of store details to translate.

A very fine chap posted the solution to the untranslatable store information conundrum on the Joomfish forum tonight.

Now the store information for VM 1.1.2 is translatable (for me anyway) with Joomfish 2.0RC.
The file causing problems was ps_vendor.php

this is found administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/

The code alterations are to be found by following the link
