« on: September 03, 2008, 11:15:23 am »
Hello all
I have been setting up a my first virtuemart site .. the payment method will be via pay pal  or via telephone .. if i am correct you go  off site to  pay for pay pal .. you don't as such need a secure URL for this as there is no credit card details given to us .. Am i correct in assuming this ?? .Please if you have any advice on this i would be grateful ...even links to  other articles that may be of assistance .

thanks for you time on this ladies and gentlemen

Correct.
You don't hold credit card details and you direct customers to pop up windows with https secure websites for CC processing.

You don't have to worry about all the CC security and let the pros handle that unless you are processing manually through a merchant terminal.

Of course, you may need a merchant account, dependant on how much processing you'll do.
I take no responsibility for any lost work. It is your responsibility to back up files before attempting anything I suggest as I may be:
a) intoxicated
b) high on sugar
c) can't concentrate due to lack of sleep
