Optimal Configuration (SSL, payment, trust)
« on: July 21, 2008, 15:46:58 pm »
Hi all,

Could I get some feed back on what people feel is the best combination of SSL, payment processor, PCI compliance, and anti hacker assurance service? I am overloaded with options and pricing is all over.

I'm just starting out so the budget is slim till the store starts generating revenue, so I am looking for a moderately priced option that has some name recognition and provides what I need to show I am a credible store (badges, identity verification, PCI compliance, security audits...). But most of all I need to feel secure about my store.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Patrick

SSL it's your fist step! If you want to store credit cards you must be PCI compliance...otherwise no CC company will give you an account. IXwebhosting are PCI compliance but to get the hacker safe logo it's around 400$ pr/y from Mc Caffee. the SSL certificate it's 29 $ pr/y.
If you want to check the speed of VM/joomla SSL you can check my lates project www.preorder-figure.com/index.php
