orders are ALWAYS pending independent of payment success?

i am wondering if i am the only one having this  ???

can virtuemart capture return codes from the payment gateways?

i always get the "order confirmed" page first and then get directed to the payment gateway. no matter the transaction is successful or not, the orders pass through.

it just doesnt make sense to me. i guess i am missing something or what?

I have this as well, or sort of. In my system you never see the Order confirmed page before getting redirected, but the system doesn't wait for the return call from payment processor before sending the confirmation e-mail to me and customer. Probably same cause.

So this is a "order of event" problem I guess. Perhaps a good bug-report.

I have the same issue.  VM sends a "Pending" status to the client before the transaction is complete.  I would prefer to wait until the status is completed.

Is there any way to configure the sending of the "Purchase Order" email to the client until the order is in the "Complete" state?
