export orders - Bestellungen nach excel?!

Hi all, first of all, this job is great! Its a easy to understand system-Thank you! One thing  dont understand is the export module.I relly dont have any idea how that works. I need to export the orders incl. client name, date and the sum they ordered and maybe some other informations - I think exactly those informations which I can read when I check the orders at the backend tool. Is that possible without a hack or do I need one of those hacks I found herer in the forum ( btw. Even if I copy it in the admin/comp/Vm folder I dont know how.... I think I need someone who give me a brief first step info, so that I know how to start :-) Sorry for my english, I hope all of you understand what I look for..
