Please look inside Joomla's chinese language folder, (/languages/), and post here the XML file definition.

Dear Pisu,

I have the same problem when Joomla language package and MV language package are not the same source (then may have difference setting name).

Like this: Joomla language file.... chinese.xxx.xx.ini
VM language file: cn.php (I even tried to change it to cn.php and got failure).

What do I need to put in XML file definition that help Joomla to find out my VM Chinese language file ???

Regards.

I've found the temporary solution:

By somehow that Joomla can not detect the value of    $mosConfig_lang
   $global_lang
(always gives 'english' )
I add bellow code at the top of virtuemart.cfg.php file:

Code: [Select]
$mosConfig_lang = 'cn';
$global_lang = 'cn';
With "cn" is the name of VM Chinese files (cn.php) (if you have another file name then edit this to your file name).

It solve the problem but I doen't seem to be complete solution!

Need expert help!

Good luck.

I'd like to know too, but I never got an answer to anything at all related to VM. It's brilliant.

you need  download Language_Pack_for_VirtueMart_1.0.15.tar.gz in http://dev.virtuemart.net/cb/proj/doc/details.do?doc_id=1830 and then unzip into administrator\components\com_virtuemart\languages then goto language manager and publish chinese ok.googluck for you
