I seem to remember seeing a commercial module for this, but it was a while ago and for VM1.0.x series.

it would probably depend on your payment processor, you would need to hack at the core code, or hardcode details etc in somewhere though afaik
Please add your VM and Joomla Version to your signature to make it easier to help you:

Most of my code posted in the forum is for VirtueMart 1.0  -  not for 1.1

Thanks for that.

I'm VERY new at shopping carts. Trying Freeway but Virtuemart appears MUCH easier to use.

Is AEC easy to integrate into VirtueMart? (I will read up on it more when I get home from work.. just wanting a quick opinion before I make an attempt)

it depands what you mean by subscriptions. If you mean to allow people to be members of your site and have access to certain areas then AEC might work for you.

If you mean magazine subscriptions then AEC probably isn't the right solution.
