Sitemap with SEF
« on: May 11, 2008, 06:19:33 am »
I've been searching on the forum and I've found quite a few posts on site map generators like livemap but I was wondering what people are doing for sitemap creation. I am using sh404sef so it might be good when replying to this post list what you are using for the site map generator and what SEF component you are using if you are using one and if you are having any success.

I am testing this sh404SEF too, but it is the 134 version vor joomla 1.0x, so it works in Legacy mode.

This solution works only with articles and content from joomla, not with virtuemart. Same with Xmap.
Cheers

Hello

I forgot to write following ;-):

For Xmap for Joomla 1.5 you have to install the Virtuemart Extension (Download http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/downloads/doc_download/66-virtuemart-extension).

For Joomla 1.0 there is also an Extension http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/downloads/doc_download/11-virtuemart-plugin

Hi,

in Xmap under option > preferences you can copy the xml-URL for Google Sitemap. If you don't have unallowed strings in the URL's, Google take this without any problems.
