Hint: Use Firefox with Firebug
« on: April 24, 2008, 23:07:56 pm »
Here's a tip for y'all. When it came to theme customization, I couldn't have got through my site without Firefox with the firebug extension.

Use Firebug's inspect element command and hover over the area that want to change. Click, once you've found what you're looking for. It takes a little getting used to, but on the left is the HTML and on the right is the cascade of styles that effect what you hover over. It will tell you the name of the style's file (and line number) you need to edit. If it says fetchscript.php...that's probably really theme.css which is located in your VM theme directory.

Have fun...
