I would like some help getting my products lining up with the purchase buttons. Can anyone help with that?
http://www.silksbyelizabeth.com/silk.html?page=shop.browse&category_id=6

I also used to be able to click on the photo to make the photo larger and the photo came up in a cool black frame right in the middle of the screen.  Now it shows up in the left corner with a white background.

I'm open to make donations to those that help.  thanks.

How do you get the shopping cart button check out feature to show up?

(General) Changing / modifications isn't really something for this topic.
So you'd probably be better of asking these questions in a new topic.
But I am happy to give you some info, which might help you getting started.
---
To change the way the template is build up, you should make your own templates.
Like the browse_color and flypage_color templates are added in these color themes.
Simply copy and paste the template you think is most close to what you like.
Then alter this one as you see fit.
-
Did you try to set the browse_color and flypage_color templates yet?
They might give you a headstart.
These can be set under the VM admin:
admin > configuration > site tab > ... browse / Flypage.
---
The cool black frame:
Shows only when you go into product details:
http://www.silksbyelizabeth.com/silk.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=18&category_id=6
Maybe it is possible to change the templates, so that this is always the case?
I didn't check if it is hardcoded, else compare the codes in both templates.
But is more a question to ask in a new topic.
---
"How do you get the shopping cart button check out feature to show up?"
You can approach this in many ways..
You can make a menu link somewhere to the cart;
http://www.silksbyelizabeth.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.cart
Or after adding something to cart, you have the pop up window, which has a "cart"link as well.
---
When you have a new template files, I think many people will appreciate it if you share them / make them available to the public.

All these although linked, aren't dedicated to the color_themes, so please ask follow up of these questions in new topics.

Off course are questions / information directly linked to the color_themes welcome. Good luck.

Thank you for trying to help me out. I think I got some of my issues straightened out.  I'm left with wondering why my browse page gives me one long column of products and not 3 across.  I can't find where you configure that...but again...I'll ask this in the other forum topics.  Thanks for helping a newbie.

Nice themes, and I appreciate the hard work, but as noted on another post, the white one makes the "add to cart" quantity box disappear. And puts a black border around the graphic. Maybe this is true of the other colors. Is there a fix for this?

This is excellent GTWillemsen. What great idea. Many could really benefit from this as it's an area in Virtuemart that could do with this improvement.

The only change I would recommend, and I will try to contribute to, is to alter the checkout_bar images. I personally tnink the standard VM ones don't look great. Especially on sites with a clean design.

I'm not a designer, but I think I could create alternatives. I will add them here when I get the chance to do it.

Thanks again GTWillemsen!

Thank you, do your benefit with it!

I'm glad to hear you are willing to not only give feedback - but even try to help and share: compliments for that!

The images are based on a version of one the original designs of the checkout images.
Beside the big plus that these are all the same now, the images can be easily be modified or completely remade from the photoshop source file.

(see download section for the sourcefiles: downloads > VirtueMart 1.1 Graphics & Themes > Color Graphics > ...)

If you do make a good sourcefile, it's rather easy to duplicate them to offer several color variations. I'm looking forward to see some of your work!

Thanks again!  ;)

Probably I should have waited to see if I could do better first before saying this!

 ;D Enthusiastic is a good thing!  ;)

To make it for you (and others) a bit more interesting/easy to accomplish this:
I uploaded an other file, which is a simplified version of the original source files.

Can be downloaded under:
Dev > Downloads > VirtueMart 1.1 Graphics & Themes > Color Graphics > surpass_photoshop_sliced_Blue_checkout_availability_noimage_00.zip

Once you have made files you can share them here:
Dev > Downloads > VirtueMart 1.1 Graphics & Themes > Graphics Sets > ...

GTWillemsen,

just wondering if your themes are up to date with 1.1.2?
I use Joomla 1.5! and VM 1.1

Samoht, Arana

I don't see why this wouldn;t work in 1.1.2. I didn't think the themes section had chnaged between the versions.

I haven't had a chance to try these, but as soon as I do I'll add my notes.

I would suggest re-looking at this. This is a great idea and probably just needs a bit of attention to get it working for you.

I'll hope to test this and if necessary modify the theme's.
Due lack of time I haven't seen a chance to accomplish this.

If anyone has tested and/or encountered problems, pls submit them here and someone might be able to help you out.
If you find a solution, pls post it here as well.

Thanks!
