Browse pages don't work if Joomla caching on?
« on: April 24, 2008, 23:55:43 pm »
In another recent thread it was suggested I turn off Joomla caching to fix another problem with the 1.1.0 upgrade.  I have fixed two big problems so far this afternoon, but now the browse pages won't display correctly if caching is on.  If I turn it off they work OK but if I turn it on I just get a bunch of "Order By" dropdowns (1 per product).

What's the deal?

I just verified that browse pages do not work on Joomla 1.5 either if caching is turned on (fresh install of both Joomla 1.5.3 & VM 1.1.0).

Is VM 1.1.0 really incompatible with caching?  This is a HUGE problem for any site with substantial traffic!

There are issues with Joomla caching which does not work peoperly, so the cache should be turned off.

Have a look at http://www.joomlatwork.com/products/components/joomla_mambo_cache_booster.html
