Sync users on 2 virtuemart sites
« on: September 23, 2007, 09:38:11 am »
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has developed a addon or hack which allows synchronization of the users on both sites automatically when they sign up.

E.g. if user X signs up on abc.com, the hack or addon should also populate user X with the same user details on def.com

From what I have research, there is a extension on joomla site that does this on the users, but I'm not sure whether it will populate the virtuemart fields.

Any opinions on this?
Thanks.

Have never seen a mod like you described. Although, since VM uses the same base for users, one of those other utilities should work. It would just not populate the shipping addresses and other information in VM.
Try posting a link to your website in your profile, or a link to the error page if possible.

A picture is worth a thousand words. For XP get http://www.bhelpuri.net/Snippy/SnippyDownload.htm, or...

Windows Vista has a Snipping Tool in the Accessories area of the Start Button.

Have you read the manual? http://virtuemart.net/documentation/User_Manual/index.html I did, huh?

Hi Michael, thanks for your reply.
The hack was produced a while back and it's available here if anyone is interested:

I'm not much of a programmer, but i'm pretty sure there's a way to modify the codes in the above hack to enable it to sync other VM data.
