Disable add to cart popup

Is there a way to disable the popup when clicking on add to cart? I keep getting an error "Handler could not be attached". It works fine with the basic joomla template but when using a custom template i get this error. I know its probably a template issue but i just want to know if it is possible to disable the popup.

What version of VM do you need for this ajax option, or do i need another module or something, im using VM 1.0.15 with JOomla v 1.0.15

This applies to VirtueMart 1.1 - currently at RC2 and not yet ready for use on a live production site.

I am having the same issue. I'm using Joomla 1.0.15 and VirtueMart 1.1.0

The Ajax option was set to yes, I changed it to no and tried it again and got the following notice:

Info: To add this product into your cart you have to select a product variant on the details page.

What now?
