Language and Mail Bug

Using Joomla 1.5.1 and VirtueMart 1.1 revision 1289 and Language Manager

           
• The component doesn't pick up the language (German) at all
• iMail's generated by placing an order only arrive with the logo image, but absolutly no text, neither to the customer nor to the owner

I installed :

VirtueMart 1.1 revision 1291 from yesterday.

The language issue is still there, i.e. not picking up German, despite both site and admin being defined (and working) in German.

The email now comes complete. The difference appears to be that the file in
/components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/templates/order_emails/confirmation_email.tpl.php was missing

The link in the email (also only in english) has an error in it:

there is a missing "/" after the site name and before the link to the account or login page

This in both the confirmation mail to the shop and to the customer.

Update on the update:

I have added an https:// address to the checkout and account info. Here the trailing slash has to be entered and as a consequence the links work OK. Where does the trailing slash for the site address have to be added for normal http:// links to work?

Just updated to

VirtueMart 1.1 revision 1296

and the language is still not being picked up.

Just got a tip today, which solved it, although in my opinion this is workaround and there is still a bug!

The tip came anonymously: Rename all the language files form german.php to German.php

Simple but it worked for me.
