registration mail error

hi
everybody , I have problem with joola 1.5;
When  i install joomla 1.5 in local machine ; then a user register ,he got registrtion mail .
but when i install joomla 1.5 in server, then user registration is complete but  user not getting registration mail ;
pls help me as soon as possible;

Make sure your remote server has all the necessary mail settings, try Joomla forum.
