What I meant before is that this tool would be a good way of doing a site map if the products entries clicked through to their page it would be good spider food linked in from the main menu.

Now I have used it, and the registered option is also good. But now in a different way.This is a great management tool, if the name of the product was a link to the actual product in the database (in  other words the price list contained links to the products which the user could click on) it would be a great tool for store managers to easily update all the products on their website firstly because they can easily see all the prices on their site on one page. And secondly by clicking the link and then editing more quickly any updates. Making  some simple views in VM helps to give non technical person a working  process for updating parts of their website. I've installed this and used the SEF404 to rewrite the url to something friendly. So having links to products in there would be a great addition.

Great great great modification, love it.
My only issue is that most of my products have a discount applied to them. Is there a way to introduce this? Either as an extra column or as a deduction from the price?

Also would love to see the product names appear as a link, surely this would be a great tool for visitors and i'm guessing would help the webcrawlers get more info..?!

These were not in my purposes... Maybe I'll work on it, or if someone want to try, it's not so hard.

No one is telling you to walk. You can just sit down and wait.

Well spoken, Pisu!

People should appreciate what you offer them and not expect that you also make/change it the way they want/like/hope or wish. If you do they are lucky, if not they should either do so themself or hope someone else does it.

Of course there's nothing wrong with suggesting ideas ...... but it is not so that the original developer should be the one adding these. In a community like this we should build together based on our knowledge, other capacities, our available time and our wish to help eachother.

Thanks again for a great piece of work Pisu!

It would be great if you could assist in helping someone else make the changes i suggested, especially the discounted price one. Without sounding pushy this change would be the one that makes the whole thing useful to other users. Without it the mod simply looks after your original clients wishes, but should they one day use the discount feature (a high possibility) then the change would be needed.

Go on, take a deep breath, dive in and fix it up. You'll feel better.  ;)

You can use SEF Serice Map for this. It prints out product name and short desc, but does not display product price

Hi, I have done a small add-on for VirtueMart, that make possibile for the user to view, print, or download in PDF the Complete Price List, divided by categories. It works also on Joomla 1.5 and VirtueMart 1.1.

BIG, great work :)

I hope this feature will be included in the following VM releases (both 1.0.x and 1.1.x series)

@kessels1234: I can't understand it, in my tests everything worked. Can we see your site?

I hope this feature will be included in the following VM releases (both 1.0.x and 1.1.x series)

Surely I'll propose this! But I think not in 1.0.x. We should stop adding features to it... and concentrate to 1.1.x

Well, we should we have a discussion about that.
BTW i'm trying to collect all the hack available for 1.0.x series, in order to make them comfortable to find and use.
Managing knowlodge in these way should help the developer too (i mean, i think they already know what modifications are already available throught hacks and which are not, but a well managed section about hack could help sometimes. E.G. the hack of XE hack for multiple product currency price talks about three hacks linking back to the forum itself. they could be managed throught content or categories or throught a wiki or other tools.)
I noticed that something like that already exist
http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_openwiki&Itemid=109&id=mods:mods
but there are listed only few mod.
I will collect others and then send to.. i don't know who :P

thanks

don't know actually the html tag in which price is enclosed nor the var for the price as i've not opened the source and tested the hack only for a few seconds, but you could try to put the price var into these tags

<font sytle="text-align: right !important;"> $price_var </font>

Argh! I hate the FONT tag... You can add a RIGHT style alignment to TD tags containings prices (and its header).
Line 56:
Code: [Select]
<td width='70' style='text-align:right'><strong>" . $VMPL_LANG->_PRODUCT_PRICE . "</strong>" . $inctax . "</td>
Line 74:
Code: [Select]
<td style='border-top:1px dotted black; text-align:right'>" . $CURRENCY_DISPLAY->getFullValue($user_price["product_price"]) . "</td>
Line 94:
Code: [Select]
<td style='text-align:right'>" . $CURRENCY_DISPLAY->getFullValue($user_price["product_price"]) . "</td>

And for PDF output, line 50:
Code: [Select]
$cols['product_price']=array('width'=>50,'justification'=>'right');

Mmmm, this is good, maybe I'll put in my package...
