Password already in use error message

When creating a new VirtueMart user from the front-end, if username existing following message is given.

Error: This username/password already in use. Please try another.

In the error message password is extra.

Hi Peter,

After some searching I came across your post.  I am using VM 1.1 RC2 and Joomla 1.5.  On the registration form I do not seem to be getting the error message when a username is already in use.  This would be a very useful feature to have working on my install of VM.  Have you or anyone else got any ideas why this might not be happening.  I have been using firefox to browse the pages and test.  I also noticed that the version of Joomla you have mentioned is 1.0 so I am not sure if the fact that I am using Joomla 1.5 that has got anything to do with it.
