We made the mistake and installed 1.01.13 joomla too soon and have applied the hotfix . now when we are logged in (backend) as admin we get kicked out.

flow:

1) we log in
2) access a product
3) save the product >>>

at this point we get the warning:

Quote
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxxxx/public_html/rev/includes/joomla.php:4145) in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/rev/includes/joomla.php on line 800

4) click "product list" and get the final kickout.

any ideas?

Same problem here.

I installed 1.01.13 joomla and have applied the hotfix (I'd actually exactly the same problem before installing the hotfix). When I save a product (or categorie) it works, then when I want to access any other page in the backend I'm kicked out and have to log in again...

I'm reinstalling joomla 1.0.12 at the moment, please let me know asap if someone has a solution. Thanks.

Restoring joomla.php from 1.012 seems to fix it for now until someone finds a better solution

a note of caution regarding converting back. at joomla.org they say

Quote
"Once the process [password conversion] of converting passwords has started, it cannot be reversed. "

so you might be able to stay logged in but it might cause troubles with your user db and their passwords.

could the problem lie in the "Improved Administrative Session Security"?

To address a potential issue known as "session fixation" attacks, we have implemented some small changes into Joomla! 1.0.13 to improve the security of administrative sessions.  Administrative sessions will now be destroyed and recreated with each request in order to prevent session fixation and session hijacking attacks.

Dear friends,

I have this problem just when I Save some thing in Country in VirtueMart for example! But when I save the configurations on VirtueMart I don´t get kick out!

P.S. I can save another things on Joomla (All Contentes for example) and I do not get kick out. The problem is only insite VirtueMart Componet
