Hi to everyone from Greece...

I have a quick question...

I downloaded the .zip file and installed it in my phpShop site but I can't get it work!

What am I doing wrong? Do I have to take any extra actions besides copying the files?

Thanks

Michael

Hi Esteve

I would really like to use your serial mod for Virtuemart... But i dont know how or what exactly to replace in all of the php files to make it work..

Is there any possibility you can either create a VM version or post how/what I have to do?

Thanks for a great idea of the serial mod

Hi Wooly,

this mod is was made for last stable version of phpshop. I have never tried it in VM.

There is opportunity to make it work in VM: I have to do it. :) (or anyone else)

Thanks for you reply esteve

Is it only a matter of replacing references to 'phpshop' and 'pshop' in the code of all of the files to virtuemart and vm?

If so I could do it manually...

Or are there other replaces and coding needed?

Thanks again

Hi,

Does anyone know where this is at? Has it been ported to VM?

Thanks

is someone using this mod with virtuemart 1.0.7? or are there alterantives which offer it's functionality?

i'm also still looking for a solution. for me it would be even enough to have some custom fields per customer, just something, where the serial is stored in the db and where i can retrieve it later in the customers area or in emails sent to the customer..

any ideas?

Is there anyone working on a serial number solution for VM 1.0.9 or perhaps in the next version?

I almost wish I would have found this earlier. I had went and created a random serial generator and made it so on the invoice they get the serial number instead of the sku which i didn't see a need for the customer to know although this could have been easily just added on instead. It also sent a request to a web service for our activation service to add the serial number there based on the quantity and an attribute selected.

If someone would like to know the code and the modifications that I made to the core files and the database PM me it is a very custom job for our store so it won't help many people to just give it out. I have also add something to add the user to a docman group based upon the product bought.
