Update VM 4.2.0 to VM 4.2.2

I have tried to update automatically with the Joomla installation system from VM 4.2.0 to VM4 4.2.2 and VM Payments Paypal 4.0.22 to 4.2.2 and in both cases I get error messages.
Has anyone else tried this with good results?

The Joomla auto-updater does not work on the "free" versions.  The latest Member version should be downloaded from the member page and manually installed. This will also enable auto updates in the future.
