Im sure this used to work, when the category has sub categories and you click the arrow shouldnt it open up to see the sub category levels?

If it doesnt do this is there a VM 4 category module that does this? i have found a few but none have demos?

J4
VM: 4.0.12 10777
PHP: 7.4

The default VM4 cat module has an accordion drop-down function. This works OK in J 3.10.11 but in J4 Casseopeia only works with Legacy layout (Bootstrap) is used.

Thanks both - i can see that makes sense but i dont known how to implement it, not enough knowledge as usual - is there anywhere i can see how to fix it please?

Gingerweb

In fact i tried what was suggested in the above link, neither worked. Is this just a case of it wont work in J4 or is there a module that will allow it to work? Quite happy to buy one if i can see a demo of it working, seen several but no examples of what they look like at all.

I cant work out how to do this, would you mind giving me some help with this please?

The category module in the VM package is titled  VM - Category  You should be using that one.

And select None (Use legacy) in VM Configuration/Templates - Template and Layouts - Layout Bootstrap version

The code displaying shop categories on you shop home page is not the same as that produced by the default VM - Category module, as indicated by . Check for template overrides for that module - as indicated by GJC:  it is sp- over ridden in your template

jenkinhill

Overrides should be in /templates/your-Joomla-Template/html/mod_virtuemart_category
