Customfield editor VS textrea

Most of the data for all custom fields is stored in the "virtuemart_product_customfields" table in the "customfield_value" column. Data from Textarea saves there as well.
But I don't understand why it's different with the wysiwyg editor addon? All content is stored in the same table but in a different column: "customfield_params".

I noticed this problem when trying to export data using the RO CSVI component. Importing this content returns empty results. Of course, I already dealt with it when I found the cause of this problem.

I understand that "customfield_value" has a field with limits of 2500 characters while customfield_params has an unlimited field marked as text. But is it necessary?
