Products tags and filtering

Hello! I am looking a way or plugin for this:

I run a store with car accessories and instead of creating subcategories, I'd like to show all products for a model in a single category but giving the customer a way to filter them for (example) "interior" or "exterior".

Is there something for adding a tag (example: internal) in backend and filter products based on those tags?

Virtuemart uses custom fields which are very flexible in assigning product attributes.
To filter based on your custom fields you can use the Custom Filters extension from BreakDesigns.
