Hi guys!

VM version: 3.2.4
Joomla version:  3.9.1
TCPDF:  1.0.4

I decided to update my TCPDF library to the latest version of 1.0.8.

After doing this,  I can no longer download order invoice PDF's from the back-end of Virtuemart. If I click on the button to download the PDF, I get the following error:

Quote
Call to undefined method vmDefines::tcpdf()

If I order through the website I still get the PDF attachment in the email.

I have tried re-installing TCPDF, re-installing VM itself and nothing worked.

I did not want to update VM since I did a lot of custom work to it and would lose almost everything. Has anyone had this issue before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

VM3.2.4 is over 2.5 years old and is known to be insecure, as is your Joomla version. If your custom work was done using file overrides then normally the modifications are not removed during updates, but you would need to test.
I understand your predicament but running an insecure store could result in hacking, loss of customer data and reputation, and possible fines under GDPR data laws.

After updating VM itself as well as TCPDF, my issue was resolved.

Also, I did not have as much work to do as I originally thought regarding custom edits and so on. From now on I'll be sure to always keep VM updated! Thanks a lot!
