Spend XX Money, get one of these product for free

I searched, but I could not find anything on extension.
Maybe I did not have the correct term for this.

Does anyone know how to do this or a module who can do this:

Customer spends XXX money, now he can get a selected product for free in the cart.

I am not sure if I explained it correctly.

I checked with them first, but their component cannot do this as it says.
How did you set this up to make it work?

Hmmm, been a while since I did this, I reuse old coupons, so easy to have different options saved, just change dates.

Choose BUY X GET Y

After that it would be self explanatory.
