Maybe a stupid question, but....
Is it possible to add virtuemart categories within an excisting joomla menu without creating all categories in Joomla menu again?

Joomla menu setup : home - products - about us - our work - contact
Where products should show virtuemart catagories/submenus.
Setup is multi language.

Joomla! 3.9.5 + VirtueMart 3.4.2

Thanks in advance,

You can do a custom module to dynamique add it.
I have done similar plugin to add manufacturers and categories inside a module.
Another solution is to use a mega menu module and virtuemart category module and modify the layout to display right in your menu.

Is there some info about this? how can this be done?
I'm using a megamenu but right now I can only set the virtuemart before or after the joomla menu.
I need to be more flexible.

Hope you can tell me what the best approach is.

Thanks & regards,

You have to simulate the menu render as if this are menu items.
Eg if your menu use ul>li then you do same in your module layout override.
I cannot give you the final solution, thisis specific to your current menu.
"products" can be the main menu item in your mega menu

Thank you!
I'm using mega menu but can't set the position where virtuemart catagory is set.
It's only before- of after joomla menu items?
I'm not sure how to modify this as you described in previous post.

I guess You should look at the documentation for Your Mega Menu.

In some mega menu, you can use a separator "products" for eg. And you can set a module to render in this menu item.
If you select virtuemart category module, then it should render on click/on over the "products" link
