how can i migrate virtuemart from VM2 to VM3?

Hello I would like to ask how is it possible to migrate VM2 to VM3. I want to update my Joomla site from 2 to 3 and VM to be compatible. I just copy the site and install VM3 over the top

in 95% of cases it all runs without problems and u have a VM3 install with all data

you will of course need an up to date template, modules and plugins

@Christian532 if you have a lot of data on the site and are migrating to Joomla 3 as well as VM 3 then you may prefer to use the VM migrator tool. This takes you through the process, step by step, to transfer all content to a new Joomla/VM setup, and is useful if you are not confident with performing manual migrations.
