[SOLVED] Child variant not present in the email order

Hi,

I was editing some products on the the website using the child variants. I heve set the child variant as brief description, but in the email order I don't see it.

If the child variant is the SKU the email order is ok. I have also tested with VMBEEZ template, and the problem is still there.

In attached the file configiguration that I have used, and what i get.

Sorry, I forgot to indicate it, i have the problem with VM 3.4.2 and 3.4.3

Hi,

i was testing several options, and I found that if custom field is only one and it is a child product (the color) it works.
If I add another custom field a string (the size) into the email order there is only the size.

I hope that this will help to find a solution.

I'm having the same problem and accidently made a new post: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=141827.0

If I use a string attribute in my product, the variant attribute is not strored.

So, I tried everything:
- completely removed VM (all files and database tables); Installed VM new with an empty Shop, made only mandatory changes for the test. 
- same with an older VM Version
- disabled every plugin expect VM
- used beez template
- disabled SEO, Cache and other joomla features

-> same Problem!

If I install a clean Joomla and VM on my Server, everything works fine.
So I guess it has something to do with my Joomla.
Going back a Joomla Version from a backup -> same problem.
I have two different Websites, the second was once a copy of the first. Both have this problem.

It can be reproduced in other installations.

There are many changes in the sublayout customfield.php  compared to VM 3.2.14.
Thats above my knowledge, but it seems there is a small bug since these changes.
