My store is running

Joomla v3.9.1
Virtuemart v3.4.2

I have the following categories created

>Cars
>>Battery Electric Vehicles
>>Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles

Both the two sub-categories have 4 products in each.

My website: http://thechargeev.co.uk

Now the problem I am having is this... I have a menu item "Shop" which links to "Top Level Category" which is working fine for displaying all items in my store.

I created a link for Battery Electric Vehicles & Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles under "Shop" linking to the relevant category. However, neither seemd to function. When clicking on them, my browser tries loading the page but after about a minute I get a "Page cannot be displayed" error message.

I then created another menu item under "shop" linking to the "Cars" category and call it "All Cars". This fixed the "page cannot be displayed" problem, however when clicking on either of the two above links the page now loads but I get a "Category not found" error and when I click on "All Cars" I just get a blank page with my template but no content or error message.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

1st switch off SEF so u can see what is happening/parameters etc

then do the normal fatal error investigations as even though it says 404 it looks more like a fatal (whitescreen)

are the subcats published?

OMG I feel like an absolute fool! My subcategories weren't even published! Such a school boy error!

Thanks so much! Glad it was an easy fix, but wish I didn't look so silly  ::) ;D
