Shipping by total weight of order

Hi all,

Is it possible wit the standard shipping in Virtuemart to calculate the total weight of the order?
e.g. Product A = 100g Product B = 200g  therefore total weght of order is 300g so it would come within my 3Kg limit.

I'm using VirtueMart 3.2.12
Joomla! 3.8.7

That is exactly what shipping can do

It has weight from - to settings

Check your units on products - to see if they are matched to shipping settings

I can figure out weight per product, that's all working fine but my problem is if a shopper orders product A and product B on the same order they are going to pay freight amount for A & B.
e.g. I have all products have a freight charge of say $5.00 up to 3 Kg but taking the order example just mentioned freight of $5.00 for each product where the combined weight of products A & B will be less than 3 Kg, if that makes sense?

You don´t assign a freight charge per Product. You create shipping methods that have limits 0..5kg, 5..10kg and so on. The combined weight gives the total shipping cost.
