If I understand miledda's problem correctly, check if in VM 'Configuration' > 'Templates' tab the path to the Vendor Media URL folder is correct (without 'stories') and then go to 'Shop' > 'Invoices/E-Mails' tab and enter {vm:vendorimage} into the header text form.

It is imho missing in the standard layout of the print. I wonder how it was before
