« on: November 27, 2017, 09:38:20 AM »
Just udated to 3.2.6 but product details not showing anymore.
Also go to next page in category page is not working.
After turning seo option 'off' in vm config product details work again?

But now url's are wrong.

Any suggestions how to solve.

Joomla 3.8.2
VM 3.2.6

Thanks,
Pas

Such a stupid bug can cost a lot of money. My customers are pissed off. How can it come to that?

Not testing on a staging copy of the site first, perhaps ?  :-\

By employing people that make changes to live software before performing sufficient testing ?

We would like to know what causes this problem after upgrading to Virtuemart 3.2.6. There were also problems on my site. I solved the problem temporarily after revoking the update to Virtuemart 3.2.4.
Do you need to test every Virtuemart update?
Updates should be checked by programmers and should not cause problems.

Any update of Joomla or any component should always be checked by the websiite deeveloper on a staging  backup copy of the live site. That is just good working practice and common sense.
Updates are checked by developers and testers, and a look at the SVN will show how many versions a release goes through before ii is considered suitable for release. It is not possible to duplicate every variation in a site package that people may use, such as type of hosting, PHP version, Joomla version, template used and other installed extensions.  Some "buglets" or incompatibilities will only become apparent once hundreds of users install a version.

What could be a problem in a given site configuration based on Virtuemart? I gave the configuration above. I currently have the Virtuemart 3.2.4 version and it is not a problem. If I update to 3.2.6, links in categories do not work. Problem with SEO?

Hi,
Can you give me more details, please?
Switch to another language and then switch back?

Have you set your site language in VirtueMart configuration?

Update to VM 3.2.8 probably helps.

I managed to figure it out.
In 3.2.6 I had configured, in virtuemart, "use global configuration". I changed to my language and the problem was solved.

However, I had to update to 3.2.8 anyway, because with 3.2.6 every time I edited a price, the product couldn't be find in searches anymore.

Thank you.
