Using backend filters, maybe custom columns

It would be nice if users could use more filters when they search for orders or products. Like payment/shipping method for orders, product_in_stock, published, parent/child product for products, etc

I know it's more complex but using an own set of columns would be also nice. Like some of my customers don't use manufacturers, child products, reviews at all but they want to check the stock, GTIN etc when they use the browse page.
