Please help. how to get discount in PERCENTAGE % eg"you save 30 %"

hello im new in here. Im just a simple dummy employee.

I have a newest version of virtuemart.  My boss want to have something like this :  the price of the product catalogue  with a cross , a price with percentage  with and without tax , and MAINLY THE DISCOUNT IN PERCENTAGE  , " YOU SAVE 30%"  . If you can tell me what to change and in which php. Really i dont have any idea, im not a programist , just a simple low class person. if somebody can help me. i will be gladfull.

Some templates have this function built in, but it is not standard VM e.g Hera from Olympian themes.

but you will have to get your hands dirty and figure out some php somehow
i was new too and now i get by with a bit of trial and error...
