Related products/categories not working

Have you done anything to solve this? For me I have exactly the same problem since some weeks, after updating and cant get it right anymore

Not specifically no, I use the vmuikit onepagecheckout for the cart if that is a connection? I did try removing it during tests but that didnt help.
currently VM 3.2.4
Joomla 3.8.2

I dont dare go to VM 3.2.6 now!
