Is it in Virtuemart 3.2.2, to be able to show all children under parent, n deep?

I've been googling around to see if this has been put into virtuemart, that in the product listing you can have all subcategories of children products show in their parent category, regardless of depth.  Has this been put in, and I just can't find it?

I seem to have done a pretty good job of putting it in - but I ended up changing a core file, which is less than good.  If it's already in, I'd much rather use that.

You can post your changes to the core file to the "Development & Testing" http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?board=136.0 and I may add it with an hidden config.
