Reminder email order still pending

VM 3.2.2
Joomla 3.7.2

1.           Go to a product in VM
2.           Order product
3.           Don't proceed payment
4.           Login into backend
5.           Virtuemart – Products – open product Testproduct2 – Tab Product Status and select "pending" under "Select the Status of ordered products".
6.           In the field content I fill in a message
7.           and press send message
I would like to alter the standard email: How can I remove the header and footer?
The use of HTML is not possible <br /> All text shows up in the email as plain text.

IMHO you need to code this.. there isn't any config etc for it

is there not a "reminder" plugin --something like https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/abandoned-cart-for-virtuemart/
