Heidelpay - won't send email

I have problems receiving confirmation emails while using Heidelpay Payment method.
After paying neither the customer nor administrator receive any emails. All works fine with paypal or standard payment but it does not work with Heidelpay.
I was testing this in INTEGRATOR_TEST transaction mode.

Can you help me understand what I might be doing wrong?

Versions:
VirtueMart 3.2.2
Joomla 3.6.5

Have You assigned appropriate order status for the payment in Heidelpay? Is this order status assigned in configuration to send email?

I attached screen-shots. At last three orders I changed manually the status and actually received emails ( thank you GJC Web Design for mentioning this - I am new to joomla ).
I believe settings should be OK but don't know why order status end up as pending while the transaction was reported to be successful.

I can not test Live mode as I don't have the contract signed.

If the order doesn't get set to Confirmed then no emails will send.. this is normal

does HPay even send a Confirmed back to the site when your in the test?
Do they have logging of what happens IF they do send?

If manually setting successfully sends the emails then the suspicion is the return that HPay sends (or doesn't send)

either search your traffic logs for them to confirm or ask HPay.. they want your money.. they should help
