Hi,

Could you please let me know if VM is compatible with Joomla templates from Shape5.com. They use a Vertex framework to develop their templates and I'd like to know if my current site which uses their template can be updated by installing and integrating VM with little bespoke coding or will it not work?

Thanks

You should ask the developers of Shape5. In normal cases vm should work with all templates, but it is possible that you get JavaScript errors depending on loaded JS by your template or other extensions.

I have previously had issues with shape5 templates & VM, both with js and css, it took a lot of work to get it acceptable for the client. Now I use templates from https://www.olympianthemes.com for VM sites and from http://joomla51.com for others.

Hi,
simply check if the template supports VirtueMart. It is usually mentioned in the template description.
Many of the template providers marks the templates as compatible with specific extensions (ie VirtueMart)
Thanks,
J.

I'd say that unless the template provider cares for Virtuemart by mentioning and actively supporting it I would be looking somewhere else.
We also use www.olympianthemes.com (the Hera template) and I can really recommend both templates and support.

The templates are pretty clean and I like that a lot after spending time (loads of time..) and money on a template that was so overly complex and bug ridden that it was impossible to get to work properly.
