How to restrict access to VirtueMart Frontend
« on: March 19, 2017, 16:54:22 pm »
Hi,

Vituemart v3.2.0
Joomla 3.6.5
PHP 5.4.45

How can I restrict access to VirtueMart Frontend.

I will have a Joomla User group called 'Approved Users'.
I only want users in the above Group to be able to see the Shop and be able to use it.

I know I can hide the Joomla Menu Tab to the Shop, but if they know the link they can bypass that.

I need to have an Access Denied to all of VirtueMart Frontend if the User is not in the Group.

Probably make all menu links for registered users only and use ACL.  https://docs.virtuemart.net/manual/general-concepts/185-administrative-frontend-access-with-acl.html
